Hey guys, Will here. I'd like to share with you a little about me and why I do what I do...

In 2010, during a Tough Mudder Race 12 mile mountain run, I had the most traumatic injury I've ever had.  

I was going across monkey bars (which I've done hundreds of times before) when I felt a pop in my shoulder.  I thought it was simply a dislocation... but as the race went on I realized it had to be much more than that.  

When I finished the race I got an MRI and was informed I had a massive anterior labral tear... I was told surgery was my only option to ever get back to upper body strength training.  

Being a Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and Certified Personal Trainer I took it upon myself to commit to overcoming my issues- by the way, I never got shoulder surgery.  

I decided to immerse myself in shoulder recovery- prehab and rehab drills so that I could learn to not only manage my injury but to become even stronger.  

At 38 years old I can honestly say that my shoulders are truly bulletproof: Strong, Functional, Stable, Mobile and Pain Free. I love to do gymnastic rings, yoga, handstands and lift weights.

During my senior year in highschool I had a Rotator cuff tear in my throwing shoulder while playing baseball. I had a commitment to play in college and I was crushed.

I had no idea what to do or who to turn to for help.

The best advice I got from “doctors” was to quit playing and get surgery. Horrible news to a young kid with hopes of playing the game I loved in college.

This is when I found a local physical therapist who helped guide me.

I fully immersed myself in shoulder health and went on to play 4 years of NCAA baseball. Truth is, I was never 100%

After college I decided to become a doctor of physical therapy and continued my journey to “fix” my shoulder.

After over a decade of study I was able to avoid surgery and get back to lifting weights, throwing the ball (harder than ever before) and most importantly teaching others how to overcome their own shoulder problems.

 

We met at a clinic in 2017.  We were both frustrated how most therapy and treatments inside clinics didn't cater to the clients needs, goals and desires and how it was mostly about bringing in more people through the doors.

Frustrated with the status quo we decided we wanted to help people not only get out of pain and dysfunction but to really get them to a higher level or performance than ever.  In otherwords help you get to where you want to be and make your goals our goals. 

...In 2018 we founded The Mobility Manifesto our purpose and mission has never been so clear. We love helping active people overcome injuries and do the things they love to do. We combine our collective years of therapy and athletic/ sports performance to get you to the highest level of performance.

In the past 2 years we have travelled the world teaching workshops, creating custom programs and have helped everyone from: rock climbers, calistenics athletes, yogis, gymnasts, pole artists, crossfitters, body builders, dancers, circus performers, MMA fighters, swimmers, surfers, professional MLB players, NFL players and many more get out of shoulder dysfunction and back to doing what they love for good.
